The First and the Last!

Well after thinking about starting a blog for YEARS--I'm finally jumping in feet first--this is my FIRST ever blog post!  I know,  I know you are all saying "it is about time"--but better late than never right?  Funny thing is that my first post is about "the LAST"-yes, the LAST day of elementary School for my no longer bow wearing daughter!!!! It is the LAST day of 4th grade and her LAST day at her  current Elementary School (5th grade in our school district is in  an "Upper Elementary" school-- so in September she will be moving on to a new school).  As Elementary school is quickly coming to an end--- tonight we spent  a little time looking at her year books from the past 4 years and then  got busy assembling some teats for her classmates along with gathering and putting together treats for her teachers.  While scouring the web and Pinterest  late one night I found the perfect end of the year treat tags for the teachers these fabulous "Orange you glad it's Summer" gift tags--are just perfect--cause quite honestly who isn't glad it's summer??? Certainly not teachers!!!!!-----So I printed them out and then we went to the store in search of all things summery and orange!  We found orange freezable mugs, orange cooler bags, orange shoe laces, orange lip balm, orange note pads, orange "ocean animal" crackers, orange mosquito repellent bracelets and even an orange jump rope!!!!! Oh and of course nothing screams summer like orange silly string!!!!! For her classmates, I again searched the internet and found these "have a bubblicious summer" tags which we attached to packs of  sugarless bubble gum--honestly--doesn't bubble gum just scream summer to you--it's not like you can chew gum in school!!!!!  (I wish I could give credit for the gift tags--but I have no idea where I found them as  if you know me---you know that I search and search and search some more until the wee hours and get totally lost and can not recall where I have been or how I got there----but if you google these you will find them too!!!)--well my first blog post and I'm already rambling---sorry!!!!

So tomorrow morning my 10 year old non bow wearing 4th grader will head to school for her LAST day of 4th grade  she will walk through her Elementary School doors for the LAST time as a student---but have no fear---it will not be the LAST time that she will be armed with teacher gifts and classmate treats!!! Summer here we come!!!!! Orange you all glad I finally got this blog started  just in time to have a bubblicious summer?????
